In a sort of conference today about participatory democracy. Several different projects and actions were talked about and actually people do a lot of interesting things, both socially in a narrow sense and in the education area. But then, when you notice it, these are all what we might call horizontal actions, that is, they are highly contributive to society but they don’t amount to any consequences to the way power and government “move”, there is no extra power in the citizens hands or any change on the representative structure (not further then the possibility of some of the more active people getting elected to something). In a more congruent and consequent system, horizontal axis actions produced feedback and change vertically in power structures and represent a living, adjustable social entity – society. It then becomes a living whole, with no stagnant parts , with no broken communication channels. And then a cross appears…
